Macchina della Luce emerged from the Luci d’Oro collection, and was also developed after reflecting on the colour of light: the golden light of the sun and fire; warm light, in which the concept of refraction began to take shape in Enzo Catellani’s mind and which he used later in other creations.

Fil de Fer is a lighting fixture made of shaped, woven aluminium wire, which is lit on the inside by tiny bulbs. Designed and made by Enzo Catellani, it is the creation closest to his heart. Developed almost twenty years ago for a special commission, it was never used for that particular project and was hung up in his workshop. Each time it was switched on, it enchanted everyone with its special, magical atmosphere. Enzo Catellani decided then to continue working on it.
The lamp was later placed on the market and quickly became the most iconic lighting fixture in the Catellani & Smith range.

A member of the KTribe family of products, this inspiring pendant light provides diffused light through a transparent diffuser that gracefully moves the eye upward. The inner diffuser is PC (polycarbonate) with a white opal finish. The outer diffuser is fumèe PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) with silver on the inner surface applied by vacuum aluminum coating. There is a single support cable and a white ceiling rose.
Inspiration behind the design: Designer Philippe Starck is known for an ability to create objects that “demand the most from the least,” and the KTribe family of products is no exception to that rule. Streamlined and smart, it pushes boundaries while reflecting his focus on positive reduction and environmental consciousness.

Inspiration behind the design: The contemporary floor lamp was designed by brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, who were inspired by a car’s headlight.
