Winner of Red Dot, Compasso d’Oro and Design Plus awards upon its release in 2004, the Castore Table Lamp is a fine example of de Lucchi’s eye for elegant minimalism. A sphere of milky, opalescent blown glass blends seamlessly into a downward-tapering stem of thermoplastic resin in the same monochrome neutral tone. The resulting shape echoes the simple, organic forms of nature. Its serene looks are complemented by the gentle, diffuse light that it creates, subtly graduated where lamp meets base and fully controllable with a dimmer switch

With PostKrisi Enzo Catellani began working and moulding fibreglass. This material fascinated him due to its incredible versatility and strength, but above all for the shadows it casts when it interacts with light.

When Enzo Catellani began creating new lighting fixtures using the first LED circuits, the intention was to create simple, discreet, almost invisible objects, that put emphasis on the light. This is how he moved away from a rather ‘aggressive’ style towards simple minimalism.
